Those who work in non-profits know very well how complicated it is to make ends meet and at the same time be able to develop their projects. In fact, non-profit means doing constant fundraising , that is, finding funds, help, support of any kind to be able to develop the planned activities.
As a digital communications agency, we work with some non-profit activities; even as individuals we have worked or still work for non-profit organizations. Therefore, it was natural for us to collect in a single page the most interesting and free (or subsidized) digital marketing tools , dedicated to organizations that work for social purposes .
NB: in most cases, in order to take advantage of the benefits offered to non-profit companies, the various software and tools will require documentation certifying that the request actually comes from a non-profit organization.
Digital tools for non-profits
Asana is a fantastic tool for managing multiple projects in a team. It allows you to assign tasks to the work group, to create project gantt charts (i.e. timelines – time schedules – where you can see the development of a project and all the business owner database linked activities that compose it).
As an agency we already use it to identify all the activities to be done (periodic, occasional, etc.) even temporally. It also allows you to insert attachments on each project. MUST HAVE!
Asana already has a free version that is more than sufficient for small businesses. For non-profits, it offers a 50% discount on premium and business plans –> https://asana.com/nonprofit
Another tool used constantly by the Bee Social team. You have to imagine it as a Skype, oriented to work communication exchanges.
It allows you to open a whole series of chats divided by project, where you can invite team members who participate/work on that specific project.
In these individual chats, the members why a programmer needs text involved will be able to write, exchange attachments, make video calls, set up bots that remind them of certain deadlines or tasks. This is a useful tool to reduce the number of emails and phone calls exchanged, which also allows you to exclude other personal chat tools (perhaps not very suitable for professional communications) such as WhatsApp, Messenger or Telegram from work-related exchanges.
On the nonprofit plan, Slack offers a free upgrade to the standard plan for up to 250 engaged users and an 85% discount above that number.
For the Plus plan, 85% discount on the total cost.
Social Media Management Tools for Non-Profit Organizations
One of the most popular content scheduling tools for your social media channels is Hootsuite. It allows you to schedule the release of posts, automatically spreading them across different channels, inserting the creatives only once within Hootsuite.
Also in this case, as for many other tools burkina faso leads listed here, a 50% discount is offered on premium plans, therefore paid. Not only that: for non-profits there is also a training plan included . In any case, Hootsuite also has a free version (with a limited number of connectable and manageable Social networks).
Similar to Hootsuite: Buffer allows you to schedule your social media posts. Personally, I have always preferred it to Hootsuite, finding it more essential and clear. Which significantly reduces the possibility of error . My advice is always to try a good number of tools and then decide on your favorite.
