In July, I took over the cross-site management of the usage and inventory management department.
This task is divided into two different subject areas: In the area of inventory management, everything revolves around the optimal management of physical media. Starting with the preparation for storage in the magazines, through the actual storage or management of the magazines and then the way back to making them available to our users.
Then the perspective changes in the user area :

Starting with registration at the DNB, through to looking after the reading rooms, training courses, guided tours, providing information, providing reference libraries, support in using our online media and much more. The user department is the first point of contact for our users for all questions, regardless of whether they concern physical or online media.
In the area of inventory management, everything revolves around phone number database the optimal management of physical media. In the area of use, the perspective changes: there, everything revolves around our guests and users.

So at the moment I am still getting to know not only my departments, but also the departments in both buildings.
You have already been able to get to know both locations. Can you already guess which will be your favorite place in the German National Library?
